Asbestos is a highly toxic building material which was widely used in Australia for decades until it was discovered that prolonged exposure can cause lung cancer and other illnesses. It is estimated that one-third of all homes built in Australia contain asbestos.

Traditional Method - We take samples (approximately the size of a fifty-cent piece) and have them tested at an laboratory to tell whether the product contains asbestos and how harmful it may be. These results can take up to five working days to receive. This method has the associated danger of releasing fibres into the air and leaves a hole to patch.

New Age Method - With technology advances it is now possible to test on site with a mainly non-invasive inspection (we may have to scrape some paint off, but no holes). This new method is much safer than the traditional method and results can be advised on the spot.
